Venere's Temple Therma - Campi Flegrei on-line

It is a large complex formed by a monumental part on artificial terraces and a part leaning against the hill.
The architectural centre is a big rectangular apsed hall covered with a semi dome vault containing a basis and surrounded by an area of niches with basin of fountains.
In the north there are a series of rectangular halls transformed into cisterns and service area beside a small terrace, that appears intact and belong to a previus age, and once used a dry bath (laconicum).
Today some escavation works have revealed a terrace with big canalisations of waters warm steam intended to supply the hall below.
